Sometimes when you step back and say, “hey, wait a minute,” you notice some traditions are bizarrely avant garde.
“The Afternoon Edition” is a series of collections of images shot while walking around on a break from work. I have four so far, one for each of the neighborhoods I have explored while working various jobs over the last three or four years. This is a house near the Temescal neighborhood in Oakland, CA, Â a Spanish-style home with tile roof and this church-like window. I almost think it looks like a MacGregor, a legendary developer in Albany in the early 20th century.
The Guarantee Savings building on the Fulton Mall in Fresno. While this great savings and load is no longer in existence, this former home still is. And it still has an old-fashioned electronic time and temperature sign outside the entrance.
